About Me
When I first decided to explore the Feldenkrais Method®, it was because I was intrigued by the idea that the brain can change and heal when given the right input. I wanted to create changes for my child who had suffered a stroke as a baby.
Along the way I realised that in our time of technologies and overall busyness, everyone needs to cultivate sensory self-awareness in order to heal and find their inner strength. Everyone needs more movement, more skilled touch and insightful questions.
And I know that making yourself a priority is often hard, that at times you race against the clock, and that there is so much information out there that you might feel confused and overwhelmed.
That’s why I created Koru Movement to help you reconnect with yourself, discover your potential for growth and build resilience, so that you can be empowered to create a better life for yourself, and a better future for that special child.
My original background is in linguistics and translation, and I love working with metaphors and create bridges between cultures, known and unknown. I have been teaching Awareness Through Movement® classes since 2018.

About The Feldenkrais Method®
The Feldenkrais Method® was developed by the scientist, engineer and martial artist Moshé Feldenkrais (1904-1984). His own chronic knee injury prompted him to apply his knowledge of physics, body mechanics, neurology, learning theory and psychology to a new understanding of human function and maturation.
The Feldenkrais Method® (pronounced FELL-den-krice, rhymes with “rice”) belongs to the field of somatic education (experiential learning that involves senses, perceptions, and mind-body action and reaction). It uses gentle movement and directed attention to help people learn new and more effective ways of doing what they like. It is a practical application of neuroplasticity: the science of how the brain can change at any age.
In plain terms, it’s an easy way to reduce pain and be more in control; the movements involved are often slow, gentle and safe for most people. The health benefits are: muscular ease, increased vitality, fewer pain meds, but also mental wellbeing and better self-care.
Feldenrkais® practitioners complete a 800 hours internationally accredited on-site training over 4 years and have to satisfy educational and practicing requirements to maintain certification.
